West Virginia Oil & Gas Show 2015

Oct. 12, 2015

Even with the recent downturn in Shale Gas exploration, the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions continue to be healthy. On October 7th Bug-O Systems exhibited again at the 5th Annual West Virginia Oil & Gas Expo. The event took place at the Mylan Park Expo Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. This location was ideal as West Virginia has been a key state in the development and growth of the Marcellus and Utica shale play. This Expo offered a great platform to network with all aspects of the industry and for local businesses to showcase their products and services.

Organized and sponsored by West Virginia companies, with a prime focus on the supporting and enhancing of the local Oil & Gas Industry, the West Virginia Oil and Gas Expo allows businesses and business owners in the area a chance to meet with other business owners and key decision-makers in the industry. With this being the fifth year, the Expo brings together companies directly involved in Site Development, Exploration, Drilling, Hydraulic Fracturing, Midstream Services, and Site Restoration. In addition, the Marcellus Shale is directly benefitting other statewide industries, including Law Firms, Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Hotel, Restaurants and Retail. The Expo is designed to showcase West Virginia businesses and promote the services our state offers to this growing industry.

Bug-O Systems had on display the Universal Bug-O-Matic to demonstrate mechanization of pipe welding in the industry. Jeff Nelson, Manager-Applications/Specials met with many interested pipe welding customers.

The 2,000+ attendees and 300 exhibitors made this year’s expo the most successful yet. Companies came from not only West Virginia but surrounding states as well, even as far as Texas and Oklahoma. Local trade shows are a great opportunity for Bug-O Systems to support this growing industry. Bug-O Systems is honored to have been part of this event and will continue to back the pipe welding industry in mechanization.
