Success in Monterrey – Fabtech Mexico 2015

May. 11, 2015

2015 marks the seventh year for Fabtech Mexico. It is now the largest manufacturing show in Latin America, a perfect fit to support Mexico’s growing industry in automation and robotic welding and cutting.  The show took place Tues-Thurs 5-7 May at the Cintermex Complex in Monterrey, Mexico. With an attendance of more than 11,000 people and 541 exhibitors the event was vibrant and hopeful. First time attendees made up 63% of the attendance. Many exhibitors increased booth space to promote their latest products and technology in manufacturing.

Bug-O evoked mechanization attention from companies looking to increase their welding and cutting processes as well as to improve quality.  Bug-O Systems had over 200 square feet of space with over nine products on display including; the KBUG line of portable fillet welders, Go-fer III, Hob-O and the world famous MDS system with linear and pendulum weavers as well as several other variations used for pipe welding and shape cutting.

Customers from all over Mexico, Central America and South America visited with Bug-O to learn how they can benefit from their products to improve weld quality and efficiency. Bug-O System’s Regional Manager, Jorge Puchaicela answered questions and provided support for Bug-O’s entire product line. Tank and pipe fabrication products were a key interest to many customers who visited the booth. Josh Chiprich, Tank Fabrication Manager, was on hand at the show to contribute his expertise in tank fabrication with end users.

This year’s show was a success for Bug-O Systems. Increased sales in Peru were generated as a direct result of the show as well as the scheduling of a new tank seminar with a key distributor in Mexico. Bug-O’s continued support and representation at Fabtech Mexico has led to manufacturer name recognition in the Latin American market for pipe fabrication products.  Next year’s show will take place in Mexico City on 4-6, May 2016.
