StocExpo 2015 Rotterdam, Netherlands

Apr. 06, 2015

Bug-O Systems Exhibited at the 11th edition of the StocExpo at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands.  The StocExpo is the leading event for the tank terminal operations industry in the world. Rotterdam is home to the Europort which is the largest tank terminal and the main shipping port for Europe. As our first time attending, we believe it was great exposure to a new audience which will help us grow in the tank market.

Each year the conference covers a variety of fundamental issues facing the industry and its numerous stakeholders. The programs are carefully designed and evaluated by leading figures in the industry ensuring presentations stay up-to-date and constructive for those in attendance.

The exhibition boasts a diverse range of products and services from the world's top tank construction, automation, metering, engineering, valve, fire prevention, mixing steel and vapor recovery companies among many other disciplines.

The StocExpo conference attracts top industry experts who share their knowledge and experience with those willing to keep up to date with this ever-changing industry.

StocExpo welcomed just over 3,000 top business professionals to the event in 2015, up from the prior year. Visitors came from many countries, not only from Europe, but beyond including: Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and United States.

StocExpo 2015 hosted over 200 industry leaders displaying their latest innovations at the three-day exhibition of which Bug-O was one. It is THE place for the international bulk liquid storage sector to meet. The exhibitors showcased their products and services from tank design, construction and maintenance, as well as their innovations in metering & measuring, pumps & valves, automation, loading equipment and inspection & certification services.

Topics were centered on where the storage market is growing and where the opportunities for growth exist, the current changes to terminal safety regulations and finally innovations which will improve current efficiencies, costs and profits.

The event attracts speakers from reputable companies such as Vopak, VTTI Terminals, First Reserve and Chevron.

Bug-O Systems’ booth showcased our Modular Drive System on high flex rail and the Universal Bug-O Matic on vertical rail. These items showed the versatility of Bug-O Systems products and how they can really help in tank building and restoration.  We also highlighted the Bug-O Girth welders for SAW on horizontal welds.

Our booth was well staffed with our distributors attending from France, Phillip Allain, and from the Netherlands, Peter Verkaik.  We also had our European Sales Manager, Volker Bueltmann, and two attendees from the corporate HQ, Josh Chiprich and Chris Cable.

The event gave Bug-O many good leads and we believe it will add to the market exposure in the tank industry for us all over the world.
