Tank Market Grows in USA

Sep. 30, 2014

The world’s thirst for energy continues to grow. In the US it is no different than the rest of the world. The US has been the leader in the consumption of oil, gasoline and natural gas for many years. The tank market is growing in the US to meet this growing demand. There is a great deal of competitive products on the market to serve in the fabrication of tanks, however perhaps no one is better suited to service this industry segment than Bug-O Systems. We have the products, experience and people to support this industry segment which is only projected to continue on this current growth trajectory.

There are two different types of tanks we typically see in the industry. For the most part, the smaller welded storage tanks are kept on the drilling site and are typically 3-4 foot and 12-14 foot in diameter. These storage tanks hold oil and gas so that it can be later shipped via truck or pipeline to refineries.  The refineries are where you will typically see the larger storage tanks often referred to as field storage tanks. Certain parts of the country have large tanks farms as they’re called, which are most prevalent in Oklahoma, Texas and California.

We want to be sure that our distributors are keenly aware of this growing market segment and that Bug-O Systems is prepared to work closely with them so that their clients can be successful. Bug-O offers many options to fabricate small and large storage tanks, such as our MDS, K-Bugs and of course our Auto Girth Welding (AGW) machines, which are all perfect fits for just about any tank storage manufacturing requirement.
